Supply - Where supply only is selected

2.1.5

2.2

Not Included

2.2.1

No allowance for any excavation or subgrade work, site preparation, piling, portal pads, footings, blockwork or sand blinding.

2.2.2

No allowance for retaining, block or intertenancy walls

2.2.3

All materials excluding the MAXRaft insulation to be supplied and installed by the builder

2.2.4

Where Waffle floors are specified, pods are supplied whole and require measuring and cutting on site

   

2.3

Required by others

2.3.1

Site to be prepared in line with the engineering and MAXRaft Onsite Guide

2.3.2

Where ground has been assumed and the ground is later deemed otherwise; or if the engineered design is different,

 

MAXRaft will be required to resubmit its quote based on the new geotechnical information or engineered design provided

2.3.3

Formwork and polythene to be in place ready for installation of MAXRaft Insulation

2.3.4

Expanding foam used in all corners and joins to fill gaps prior to concrete pour

2.3.5

It is the responsibility of the main contractor to ensure that there is a set of A3 consented plans, toilets, skip, power and water onsite; additional charges may apply if these are not provided.

   
 

Supply & Installation of MAXRaft Slab - Where a full install is selected

2.1

Included

2.1.1

All materials associated with the MAXRaft slab as per our standard MAXRaft designs.

2.1.2

One pour of at least 20mPa 100mm thick concrete, no colouring; additional concrete thickness and/or colouring will incur an additional charge

2.1.3

Concrete must be cured immediately upon completion at the care of the client.

 

There are 3 methods of cure the client may use to cure concrete accordance with NZS 3109:

1

Ponding or continuous sprinkling of water

2

Placing a wet covering or plastic membrane over the slab

3

The use of liquid membrane curing compounds such as slab cure (can be provided at an additional cost)

 

Concrete is a product which sets through a chemical reaction, in most cases some cracking to finished concrete will occurs through this process which is considered normal. MAXRaft accepts no liability for cracking of concrete to finished foundations  

2.1.4

HD12 reinforcing as per standard MAXRaft design and SE73 or 62 mesh, and higher grade bars (such as HD16, HD20 or SE72 mesh), will be an addition charge.

2.1.5

2.1.6

MAXRaft engages a third party engineer specific to site location. The standard MAXRaft engineering package allows for five (5) engineer details; additional details may incur additional charges.  Engineering is for the MAXRaft component only.

2.1.7

Post pads; for standard size post pad of up to .6x.6x.6 and includes digging and supply of concrete only. Pads that are larger, may incur additional costs.

2.1.8

Set out includes profiling and string lining to the surveyors pegs only.

 

This does not include marking out for excavation; request to do this will incur an additional cost. Houses up to 220m2 only.

   

2.2

Not Included

2.2.1

No allowance for any excavation or subgrade work, site preparation, piling, portal pads, footings, blockwork or sand blinding.

2.2.4

No allowance for concrete additives or accelerators, if required on the day they will be charged at an additional cost.

2.2.5

Any inspections excluding those included in this estimation

2.2.6

Additional Items will be confirmed by builder on site.  Please contact if you would like a more specific quote.

2.2.7

Additional cast in fixings; where architectural joinery is specified a Duragal may be required at an additional cost. This is generally only associated with heavy doors that sit outside the foundation line.

   

2.2.8

Where epoxy of starters in the concrete footings is required, this may be an additional cost.

2.2.9

Where cast in bolts are used or specified for 90mm frame the builder is required to install.

   

2.3

Required by others

2.3.1

Site to be prepared in line with the engineering and MAXRaft Onsite Guide.

 

If the jobsite is not ready at the agreed time, an additional charge of $55 per man per hour will be charged for additional time on site.

 

Please ensure all trades are aware of their responsibilities in accordance with the MAXRaft Onsite Guide

2.3.2

Where ground has been assumed and the ground is later deemed otherwise; or if the engineered design is different,

 

MAXRaft will be required to resubmit its quote based on the new geotechnical information or engineered design provided

2.3.3

It is the responsibility of the main contractor to ensure that a set of A3 consented plans, toilets, skip, power and water onsite; additional charges may apply if these are not provided.

2.3.4

Where MAXRaft is completing the set-out surveyor’s boundary pegs are required to be in place and visible, including the datum.

2.3.5

Where engineering is not completed through MAXRaft and a PS4/Pre-pour inspection is required, the client is responsible for arranging the PS4 directly.

   
   
 

Delivery, Technical Support & Payment Terms

   

3.1

Request for installation / Delivery time frames

3.1.1

At a minimum MAXRaft requires three week's notification of a delivery or install date, allowing time to co-ordinate the team required, design and materials.

 

To confirm the delivery and/or installation date we require consented plans or the final foundation set out plans.

3.1.2

MAXRaft will design the insulation from the foundation plan, please make your frames 5mm bigger to allow for the plaster coating

 

(not required with brick rebate).

   

3.2

Payment terms & Validity period

3.2.1

If required, pricing will be reconfirmed prior to starting your project, this will exclude any variations onsite

3.2.2

Unless otherwise agreed 50% deposit is required at least three weeks prior, balance on completion

3.2.3

Engineering will be invoiced upon engaging with the engineer, invoice to be paid prior to MAXRaft releasing engineering design.

3.2.4

Where a Supply and Installation is chosen, MAXRaft will issue the PS4/Pre-Pour inspection on final payment.

3.2.5

Any additional inspections, to that listed above, will incur an additional charge of $500.00 per inspection.

3.2.6

Interest on late payments will incur interest at 1% per month.

   

3.3

Quotation Validation period

3.3.1

Quotes are valid for a period of 30 days. Outside 30 days we will need to re-price your project to reflect any increases in material costs from suppliers.

3.3.2

MAXRaft allows a period of 90 days between receiving a signed quote and starting construction. Should construction not commence within 90 days MAXRaft reserves the right to provide a new quote reflective of any increases in material costs.

   

3.4

Certificate of Compliance

 

Upon request, MAXRaft will issue a certificate of compliance in line with our CODEMARK CMA-CM40124.

   

3.5

Technical Support

3.5.1

Please ensure all parties involved in the foundation works are familiar with MAXRaft Onsite Guide including excavators,

 

plumbers & electricians. MAXRaft is available to answer any questions to ensure best practice onsite by calling 0800 629 7238.

3.6

Personal Indemnity

3.6.1

In consideration of your requesting on behalf of the client that we provide services to the client, you personally agree to indemnify us,

 

and if you have accepted these terms of engagement on behalf of the client you personally agree to guarantee and also indemnify us as follows:

3.6.2

For so long as the engagement is in place between the client and us.

3.6.3

For the full and punctual payment by the client of all amounts owed to us by the client.
